It is forbidden to work as an accountant in a company that sells tobacco, because consuming tobacco is forbidden, and anything that aids in it, such as selling or accounting, is likewise forbidden, based on the Almighty's saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." And the fact that the salary comes from another source does not change the ruling, because the basis of the prohibition is aiding in disobedience, which is present here.
