Does divorce take place after three months if the spouses agree to it and the husband withholds maintenance?

The occurrence of divorce depends on the wording used by the wife and agreed upon by the husband:

1. If she said: "But you will divorce me after three months," and the husband agreed: This is merely a promise of divorce and does not take effect unless the husband initiates it, because a promise of divorce does not constitute a divorce. 2. If she said: "Do not give me maintenance, and I will be divorced after three months," and the husband agreed: This is a divorce suspended on two conditions: not giving her maintenance and the passage of three months. If both conditions are met, the divorce takes effect automatically without the need for the husband to pronounce it again.
