What is the ruling on buying, using, and selling products that bear the symbol of the cross? Is it sufficient to remove the symbol by possible means, or is it permissible to keep and use the product if its removal is difficult?

It is not permissible to buy or sell products and tools that bear the drawing of a cross, because doing so is aiding in its propagation and goes against the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who would not leave anything containing crosses without destroying it. It is forbidden to place a cross on clothing or anything worn, and selling a cross is legally prohibited. Likewise, it is not permissible to sell wood to someone known to be intending to fashion it into a cross. The maker of a cross is cursed, and his earnings are unlawful and must be given away in charity. It is not permissible to pray on carpets or rugs that bear a cross; rather, it must be removed and its features erased. Children should be kept away from anything that contains crosses. It is permissible to buy products made by Christians that contain a cross if there is no alternative, provided that the cross is removed immediately after purchase.
