Is the congregation's reward counted for one who arrives late for Friday prayer and joins the Imam in the Tashahhud before the Taslim?

Scholars have differed regarding whether one who catches less than a full rak'ah attains the virtue of congregational prayer. Some have stated that this is the correct view, while it has also been said that one does not attain the virtue of congregational prayer with less than a full rak'ah. As for one who misses a rak'ah of Jumu'ah prayer, he does not catch Jumu'ah according to the majority of scholars, and he must stand up after his Imam's salutation to pray Dhuhr, four rak'ahs.
