What is the difference between kissing the Black Stone and performing the circumambulation, and the rituals that the nomadic Arabs used to perform when they made pilgrimage to the Ancient House to draw closer to God?

Islam rejects the worship of anyone other than Allah and affirms divinity for Allah alone, which is the essence of "there is no god but Allah." The reality of servitude (عبودية) is obedience to the command of the worshipped, as indicated by both language and religious law. Whoever accepts servitude to Allah does not put forward their own opinion or inclination before Him. The religion of Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance) contained two errors: worshipping others besides Allah and innovating a religion for which Allah had not given permission. The polytheists believed in Allah and performed pilgrimage for Him, but they added shirk (polytheism) and altered things. Hajj is an ancient obligation; Ibrahim, Musa, and others performed it. The conformity of Muslim actions to most of what the polytheists used to do in Hajj indicates that they took that from Ibrahim (peace be upon him). The wisdom behind kissing the Stone, circumambulating (the Kaaba), and stoning (the pillars) is to test the servants and demonstrate servitude. For the One who forbade the worship of stones is the One who commanded circumambulation, and legislated kissing the Stone and stoning the jamarat. And Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Indeed, I know that you are a stone, you neither harm nor benefit. Had I not seen the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) kiss you, I would not have kissed you." So beware of objecting to what Allah has legislated.
