The answer

If the anger is so severe as to lose awareness of what is being said at the time of divorce, then nothing is binding. However, if the anger was not severe and there was awareness of what was being said, then if he did not intend to repeat the divorces but rather to emphasize, one divorce occurred and he can take his wife back. But if he intended to repeat the divorces, then three divorces have occurred according to the majority of scholars, and he is not permitted to take her back until she marries another husband willingly and that husband divorces her after consummation. At that point, she is considered a stranger to him, and he is not permitted to be alone with her or live with her except in a completely separate dwelling.
