What is your opinion, what is your advice, and what is your role in supporting us and responding to government fatwas that reject the wearing of the hijab in schools and universities, considering it a step backward that undermines the country's progress?

The fundamental principle is that laws should be subordinate to religion. Islam has honored women and ensured their freedom. Adherence to religion brings progress, while abandoning it leads to deprivation. Allah has made it obligatory for women to cover their 'awrah (intimate parts) and wear the legal hijab. There is no choice for anyone after the command of Allah and His Messenger, and the hijab is a sign of chastity. Exposing women to tabarruj (ostentatious display) is a crime against them. Allah threatens with punishment those who love to see indecency spread. Women should be careful not to obey creation in matters of tabarruj; for those who display themselves ostentatiously are cursed and will not enter Paradise. If a woman is forced into tabarruj, she should consider the possibility of studying via correspondence or at home. If she is compelled to go out, she should adhere to the Islamic guidelines. Women are advised to maintain their prayers, remembrance of Allah (dhikr), and supplication for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency, and to be keen on marriage.
