Is it permissible to sleep and eat in a state of ritual impurity (janabah)?

It is permissible for a person in a state of ritual impurity (junub) to sleep without performing ablution (wudu), though it is disliked. It is recommended for the junub person, if they wish to eat, to perform ablution, based on what Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: "When the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was in a state of ritual impurity and wished to eat or sleep, he would perform ablution as he would for prayer."
