What is the ruling on working in the clothing trade that contains images of animate beings, if the father refuses to stop selling them? And is it permissible to leave this work to please Allah Almighty, despite the possibility of the father's anger?

It is forbidden to wear clothes that contain complete images of animals or humans, due to the hadith: «Angels do not enter a house in which there is a picture.» The meaning of a complete image is one that does not become invalid if a part of it is cut off that would not allow the animal to survive after its removal, such as cutting off the head, chest, or abdomen. This is in contrast to cutting off an eye, hand, or leg. Similarly, if, from the outset of the drawing, the image is a body without a head, or a head without a body, or if it is given a head and the rest of its body is in the form of something other than an animal [it is permissible].

It is forbidden to sell or manufacture what is forbidden to use, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: «Indeed, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, when He forbids the eating of something, He forbids its price.» Also, because selling it leads to wearing it, and wearing it is forbidden.

If it is possible to remain in the shop without selling or buying forbidden items, then there is no harm; in fact, it is necessary to remain to prevent the father's anger. However, if the work requires participation in the forbidden selling, then it is not permissible to work, because there is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to the Creator.
