Is it forbidden to sell children's clothes that have drawings of incomplete faces (such as a train or a loaf of bread with a face, or a drawing of a girl with an incomplete face)?

It is forbidden to sell or use images of animate beings, unless they are incomplete in a way that the owner could not live without the defect, or they are treated with disrespect and do not imitate God's creation or involve glorification. This is indicated by the hadith: "If the head is cut off, then it is not an image." Also permissible is what is a mere pattern on a disrespected garment, which explains the exception "except for a pattern on a garment" as referring to an image that does not have a soul, or something that is treated with disrespect.
