Is the husband considered sinful or negligent if his wife abstains from his marital right to the bed, under the pretext that he has not provided a private bedroom or has been deficient in the monthly allowance?

The husband is obligated to provide suitable housing for his wife and furnish it appropriately according to custom, such as a bedroom, as a gesture of appeasement and honor for her. He should strive to do so, even if through installments, should he be unable to pay upfront. He is not obligated to provide a monthly allowance, but rather sustenance in the form of food, clothing, and medical care, which is a generosity from him. The wife is not permitted to refuse her husband's bed for this reason, as her action would be an act of nushuz (disobedience) and defiance. The noble prophetic traditions have warned against such behavior. The husband should advise his wife regarding this, clarifying the prohibition of refusal, and he will be rewarded for his expenditure on his family.
