Is abortion permissible in the fifth week of pregnancy if the woman has four children and her husband asks her to do so, knowing that she has started feeling the symptoms of pregnancy?

Abortion is not permissible except for a lawful (Shariah) excuse, even if the fetus is still at the nutfa (sperm drop/zygote) stage. It is not permissible to obey the husband in aborting it, for there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah; obedience is only in what is good and right." It is advised to discuss this with the husband and remind him of the blessing of this fetus, and to seek the help of someone to speak to him about this matter if necessary.
