What is the ruling regarding a wife whose husband passed away, and it became clear to her that he was a drug dealer or a thief, after she had already taken her share of the inheritance? And is what she took lawful or unlawful?

Unlawful wealth does not become lawful through inheritance. The heirs must return it to its owner if possible; otherwise, it should be spent for the benefit of Muslims or given to the poor. If lawful and unlawful wealth are mixed, and the amount of unlawful wealth is known, it should be returned to its rightful owners or given away in charity. However, if the origin of the wealth is unknown, it is permissible to benefit from it by consensus.
