Who was the first of the Ansar to embrace Islam—was it Mu'adh ibn Jabal or As'ad ibn Zurarah, may Allah be pleased with them all?

The first of the Ansar to embrace Islam was Suwayd ibn al-Samit al-Awsi al-Ansari at the beginning of the eleventh year of the Prophethood, followed by Iyas ibn Mu'adh. During the Hajj season of the eleventh year, six young men from Medina embraced Islam, led by As'ad ibn Zurarah al-Najjari al-Ansari, and Mu'adh ibn Jabal was not among them. In the season of the twelfth year, twelve men from the Ansar pledged allegiance in the First Pledge of Aqabah, and As'ad ibn Zurarah was among them, but Mu'adh was not. As'ad was also the first to pledge allegiance to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in the Second Pledge of Aqabah. Based on this, As'ad embraced Islam before Mu'adh, may Allah be pleased with them all.
