How can one return to commitment and seeking knowledge after having distanced oneself from righteous companionship, overcoming negligence, weakness of faith, watching foreign films, and conquering the fear of deviating from the path to Paradise?
If you distanced yourself from righteous company unintentionally, your neglect in seeking knowledge and your leniency regarding forbidden acts stem from your own will. What has befallen you may be a consequence of those sins and transgressions. Many women like you have experienced delayed marriage but did not act as you did; instead, they occupied themselves with memorizing the Quran, seeking knowledge, and inviting to Allah, which expands the chest and eases worldly affairs. Your wish for death, out of fear of increasing leniency, is a grave error. Rather, you should wish for death in a better state. You can rectify your situation by returning to what you were upon, and even better, but it requires a sincere pause and a quickening towards Allah's pleasure. Wishing for death is not the solution; rather, the solution is sincere repentance and making up for what has passed in striving for Allah's pleasure. What has afflicted you may be good for you if you return to Allah, for a sincerely repentant person, Allah replaces her bad deeds with good ones. Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: "Whoever thinks that a person who committed sins, despite sincere repentance, remains deficient: he is gravely mistaken; for the blame and punishment that befalls those who commit sins does not affect the repentant person at all." A person may commit a forbidden act then repent, and there is benefit for him in repentance, as through repentance, he attains humility, tenderness, and turning back to Allah.
