Is it correct to call the month of Rajab "al-Asamm" (the Deaf) because no fighting is heard in it, and "Rajm" (Stoning) for stoning enemies and devils in it; and is the Hadith: "Five nights in which supplications are not rejected: the first night of Rajab, the night of the middle of Sha'ban, Friday night, the night of Eid al-Fitr, and the night of Eid al-Adha" authentic?

It was mentioned that the reason Arabs named Rajab "al-Asamm" (the Deaf) is because no sound of weapons or movement of fighting is heard in it, as it is one of the sacred months. As for its naming "al-Rajm" (the Stoning), it was narrated from Ibn Dihya that devils are stoned in it. And the hadith (definition) mentioned by Al-Suyuti about Rajab was deemed by Al-Albani as "mawdu'" (fabricated) and containing liars.
