What is your opinion on the saying of some shaykhs that the only truth in existence is the Quran, the Resurrection, and the existence of God, and that anything other than that, including scientific facts, is merely an ijtihad (independent reasoning)?

The statement that the only existing truths are the Qur’an, the Resurrection, and the existence of God, and that anything else is merely ijtihad (independent reasoning) and not a truth, is a false statement. Doubting that the Shari'ah and sensory truths are countless is illogical. And whoever says that fire burning, and other scientific and sensory facts are not truths, is echoing the Sophists who deny truths.
