Is the sun the same as Hell?

The sun and Hell are two distinct realities, not one and the same. The Almighty’s saying: (When the sun is kuwwirat) means it will be gathered and folded up. It has been established that it will be kuwwirat into the fire of Hell on the Day of Judgment, as mentioned in the Sunnah, which indicates their distinctness. The verses of Surat At-Takwir show that the mention of the sun (When the sun is kuwwirat) comes separately from the mention of Hell (And when Hell is su‘‘irat), which confirms that they are two distinct entities.
