The Hadith is authentic, and the reason for the wealthy being delayed from entering Paradise is their accountability for the worldly possessions God bestowed upon them. The rich person will be questioned about their wealth: where they acquired it and how they spent it. This is in contrast to the poor person, who owns nothing to be questioned about. This waiting will occur outside Paradise for their reckoning.
