Al-Usayrim is 'Amr ibn Thabit ibn Waqish, from Banu 'Abd al-Ashhal. He embraced Islam on the Day of Uhud and was killed immediately after his conversion, without being able to pray. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, bore witness for him that he would enter Paradise.
