Does the hadith "I was shown the Hellfire, and I saw that the majority of its inhabitants were women, due to their ingratitude." It was said: "Do they disbelieve in Allah?" He said: "They are ungrateful to their husbands, and ungrateful for kindness..." pertain to all women or only to married women?

The mentioned hadith is general and applies to women with blameworthy characteristics, whether married or unmarried, for "al-ashir" (the associate/companion) can mean the husband or anyone who interacts with the woman. Among the descriptions of such women are: if entrusted, they betray; if asked, they are stingy; if they ask, they are importunate; and if given, they are ungrateful.
