Why did Islam forbid love between genders before marriage? Is it enough to only look at what encourages marriage? And how can the existence of love between spouses be guaranteed?

Man must believe that the Law of Allah is the only path to human happiness and the rectification of their affairs, and that the reason for man's superiority over animals is intellect and worship. With this, man finds happiness in this world and enjoys Paradise in the Hereafter, while the disbeliever turns to dust or is tormented in Hellfire, fulfilling the words of Allah Almighty: "But those who disbelieve enjoy themselves and eat as the grazing livestock eat, and the Fire will be a residence for them."

The wise rejoice in their adherence to the Law in this world, and they witness the torment of criminals in the Fire, taking admonition from His Almighty saying: "For the likes of this let the workers work. Is that better as a lodging or the tree of Zaqqum?" As for wishing for a life of love not bound by the Law, it is something not acceptable to one with a correct understanding.

Man must employ his emotions in thanking Allah for His blessings and loving Him, to live a good life and receive blessings, for marriage brings love, affection, and mercy, fulfilling the words of Allah Almighty: "And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought." The prohibitions and commands of the Law are only from a Wise, All-Knowing One who knows what is good for humanity, and nothing is forbidden except for harm. Many lovers have lost out due to their distance from the Law, as a result of their blinded insight and their being influenced by misleading media.
