Is "the Yam" in the story of Musa (عليه السلام) meant to be a sea and not a river? And did Musa and Harun (عليهما السلام) live in Sinai on the Red Sea before the known Egyptian civilization, as mentioned in the book "Pharaoh of Musa: Between Fact and Myth"?

This book contradicts the statements of exegetes, historians, and the People of the Book, as well as the Torah. Its author has brought forth something no one else has.

Evidence for the error of his statement is that Pharaoh said, "Is not the dominion of Egypt mine, and these rivers flowing beneath me?" (Qur'an 43:51), intending the branches of the Nile in Egypt, not Sinai.

The Qur’an’s interchangeable use of the words "al-yam" (sea/river) and "al-bahr" (sea) indicates that they are one and the same, and his differentiation between them has no basis in the Arabic language. The word "al-sahil" (coast/bank) is not exclusive to the sea but also applies to a river.
