How do we respond to the specious argument that scholars use video without necessity, despite their pronouncement against it and their contentment with audio only?

Most contemporary scholars do not prohibit video recording, and we do not know of anyone who considers it forbidden yet condones its use. The decisive factor is the ruling of the Sharia, and scholars' opinions are accepted or rejected.
