Can a person afflicted with magic see the sorcerer and how he performs the magic during ruqyah, and does the accusation of the afflicted person against someone for performing magic necessitate his repentance?
What a person afflicted with the evil eye or sorcery sees during (exorcism) regarding the identity of the one who afflicted them may not be accurate. It is impermissible to accuse anyone without lawful evidence, because Satan may delude the afflicted person to sow enmity. Although this does not preclude taking precautions, accusing someone of sorcery is serious, for a sorcerer is either an infidel or a wicked criminal, and their ruling varies according to the method they use for sorcery. Sorcery is one of the destructive sins because it corrupts the enchanted person's religious and worldly affairs and causes them distress, whether it is through devils or medicines and drugs.
