Requesting donations for building mosques is a good deed for which the doer is rewarded if their intention is sincere. However, if the method mentioned in the question is repeated in a way that causes harm and annoyance to people, it should not be continued. Those in charge are advised to change it to other methods that achieve the purpose without harming others. Furthermore, mentioning people's donations should not be done, as it may lead to ostentation (riya') or prevent some charitable givers from donating a small amount.
