Is it permissible to continue supplicating to God to bless me with a daughter, even though the doctor has informed me that the pregnancy is male? And does supplication avert destiny and divine decree?

Supplication is part of Allah's decree and is beneficial for what has descended and for what has not descended. Supplication has etiquettes, one of which is not to transgress in it. Requesting the sex change of a fetus that medical examinations have shown to be male into female is considered a transgression in supplication, because it is asking for something that runs contrary to the established cosmic laws. However, it is permissible to continue supplicating that Allah grants you a daughter in another pregnancy.
