What is the ruling on using a mobile phone that does not allow for setting non-musical ringtones?

Musical phone ringtones are prohibited, based on the hadith: "There will be peoples among my Ummah who will hold to be lawful promiscuity, silk, alcohol, and musical instruments." If it is difficult to change it, there is no objection to using the phone on silent and vibrate mode without hearing the prohibited sound.
