Is a legitimate marriage with all its pillars and conditions—such as witnesses, a guardian, a dowry, and a pronouncement—considered valid and permissible if the spouses agree to postpone the spousal support and consummation until the husband settles in his country and registers the marriage, while allowing him to correspond with his wife and go out with her without a mahram present?

The conditions mentioned by the questioner in the contract, such as the permissibility of correspondence and seclusion (khalwa), delaying the mahr (dowry), and postponing consummation, do not affect the validity of the marriage. This is because they either are necessitated by the contract or do not contradict it, and they contain a benefit for the contracting party. These conditions must be fulfilled, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "The conditions most worthy of fulfillment are those by which you make sexual intercourse lawful." It is advisable to expedite the completion of the marriage due to the great religious objectives it serves.
