Is it permissible to obscure Quranic verses and Prophetic Hadiths written on a study table with dark adhesive tape, knowing that this table is used for eating, studying, and working, with the aim of preserving them as a keepsake?

The words of Allah and His Messenger must be glorified. Writing verses and hadiths on school desks contradicts this glorification, because these desks are used to place objects upon, and students may even sit on them. Furthermore, this is considered an unauthorized act of modifying someone else's property. Therefore, this writing should be removed from the desks, and merely placing a sticker over it is not sufficient.
