Is the person who seeks forgiveness while occasionally committing sins out of negligence or being overcome by his self and desires, then abandons them and continues seeking forgiveness, considered to fall under the ruling of one who mocks God, as mentioned in Fatwa No. 72954, knowing that he does not intend to mock? And what is the ruling on joking and laughing with others when it involves mentioning God, and does this contradict the glorification of God?

Congratulations to you for seeking forgiveness one hundred times daily. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to seek forgiveness more than seventy times, and sometimes one hundred times. Your committing some mistakes, repenting from them, and seeking forgiveness is proof that you are among those whom Allah Almighty mentioned in His saying: "And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by sinning], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins - and who can forgive sins except Allah? - and [who] do not knowingly persist in what they have done. Those - their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow [in Paradise], wherein they will abide eternally; and excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers." As for laughing and joking during dhikr (remembrance of Allah), from the etiquettes of dhikr are humility and tranquility, and joking contradicts that. However, if something occurs to him and he laughs or smiles at it, there is no harm.
