What is the ruling on a husband abandoning his wife's bed for a year, while satisfying his desires through chat, and rejecting her adornment and beautification for him?

The wife is advised to be frank with her husband, urge him to repent, understand the reason for his aversion, and treat him kindly if there has been any shortcoming on her part. Cooperation between spouses in obedience and piety is essential. The wife is advised to be patient, fast, lower her gaze, avoid temptations, strengthen her connection with Allah, occupy her time with beneficial things, and be persistent in supplication. If the husband does not repent, does not fulfill her needs, and she cannot be patient, she may request divorce or khul'.
