Is it obligatory for an unmarried, unemployed son to live with his mother in her town, given that he has brothers living in a nearby city?

If a mother is in need of care and dutifulness, it is incumbent upon her children to provide it. This is especially true for those who have no other preoccupations preventing them from doing so. Allah has enjoined kindness to parents, especially the mother, and has made His pleasure contingent on their pleasure. It is mentioned in the noble Hadith that the mother is the most deserving of good companionship, and that Paradise lies at her feet. Therefore, the questioner must strive to be dutiful to his mother, honor her, and seek her satisfaction, for the prayer of a parent is answered.
