If someone who practices magic prays, do they remain a disbeliever?

Scholars have differed regarding the disbelieving (kufr) status of a sorcerer. According to the view that he is a disbeliever, his prayer is invalid, as it is not valid for a disbeliever. For his prayer to be valid, he must repent from his sorcery, through which he disbelieved. As for the charlatan who claims knowledge of the unseen or worships jinn, he is a disbeliever, and one should not pray behind him. It is obligatory to shun him, warn against him, and report him to the authorities.
