Does divorce take place if a husband utters it based on a Photoshop image that later turns out to be untrue?

If you divorce your wife because you saw her adorned, and then you learn that she did not do that, your divorce is not valid. This is because divorce is based on a reason, and that reason has been proven to be non-existent. Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned that the madhhab of Ahmad and his shaykh in this situation is that the divorce does not occur, whether the reason was stated verbally or not, because the principles of the Imams necessitate that. An example of this is someone who divorces his wife because he thought she spent the night with a stranger, and then it becomes clear that she was at home praying; in this case, his divorce is not valid.
