What is the ruling on adopting Ibn Taymiyyah's fatwas regarding issues of divorce, taking into consideration that they are approved in state courts and by some scholars?

Acting upon the fatwas of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah for one who is a student of Islamic knowledge and capable of understanding the sayings of scholars and examining their proofs, if his opinion becomes preponderant to him due to the strength of its evidence, then there is no harm in it for him; rather, it is his duty. As for the layman, his duty is to ask the people of knowledge, as Allah the Almighty says: "So ask the people of the message if you do not know." He must strive to identify the most knowledgeable people of his time and avoid directly referring to the words of scholars without precise understanding, for fear of falling into error.
