Is going to a man to undo magic (sihr) and taking things from him considered shirk (polytheism) that nullifies deeds and expels one from the faith, especially after reading the two verses: "If you associate others with Me, your work will surely become worthless" [Quran 39:65] and the saying of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "Ruqyahs (incantations), amulets, and love-charms are shirk," and "Whoever goes to a soothsayer and believes him has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad"?
A believer's feeling of guilt indicates the soundness of their faith and the purity of their soul. If sins befall them, they remember God's punishment and repent, for God accepts repentance and rejoices in it, transforming evil deeds into good ones.
