Is the Jamarat Bridge considered part of Mina, and is spending the night on it sufficient for fulfilling the requirement of spending the night in the Mina tents?

Staying overnight in Mina is one of the obligatory rituals of Hajj. Mina has well-defined boundaries: its eastern boundary is Wadi Muhassir, and its western boundary is Jamrat al-Aqaba. Neither the valley nor the Jamra are considered part of Mina.

Therefore, whoever stays overnight on the bridge before Jamrat al-Aqaba and does not cross it to the west has stayed within the boundaries of Mina. However, whoever stays overnight at Jamrat al-Aqaba or crosses it towards Mecca has stayed outside Mina and is liable for a compensatory sacrifice (dam).
