"From a legal (Shar'i) perspective, there is no obligation to carry out a father's command to divorce an upright wife, as there is no valid justification for obedience in this matter. However, regarding providing a separate residence for the wife, it appears that obedience to the father is obligatory in this case to avoid problems arising from her living with the family, and this falls under enjoining good. A separate residence is a right of the wife, and the husband is obligated to provide it if she requests it."
