How authentic is the Hadith: "The child is for the bed, and for the adulterer is the stone"? What is meant by the word "stone", and does it mean stoning? If so, why did it not say "for the adulteress is the stone"? How is a child attributed to a husband who has been absent for more than a year? What is the ruling on the lineage of an IVF child if the egg was fertilized by the sperm of another man by mistake?
The noble , "The child is for the bed, and for the fornicator is the stone," means that the child is attributed to the owner of the bed (the husband), and "for the fornicator is the stone" means disappointment for the adulterer and no right to the child, and not stoning with stones, because stoning is only for the married person.
As for inseminating a woman with the sperm of a non-husband, it is a reprehensible crime in the meaning of adultery, even if it does not necessitate its prescribed punishment, and the child is not attributed to the owner of the sperm. This process is considered a violation of ethics and necessitates a discretionary punishment.
