هل يتضمن الإسلام معتقدات الأديان القديمة كالصراط والنار، أم أن ذلك مجرد تشابه؟

A Muslim must protect their heart and creed from doubts. Therefore, it is not permissible for them to look at or listen to anything that propagates disbelief and atheism, except for specialists in Islamic law who refute these doubts. Scholars have stipulated the prohibition for common people to look into the books of the People of the Book. A Muslim should occupy their time by reading the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the biographies of the righteous predecessors.

Islam is Allah's final religion, superseding previous messages. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came with revelation from Allah, not from what was with the People of the Book. The heavenly messages agreed on the fundamentals of faith and ethics, and differed in some legislative rulings.
