Is what I did toward my uncle – who asked me for the computer to watch a movie containing music, so I refused, and he became angry with me – Islamically correct, and what should I do now and in the future, and is it permissible to reconcile with him?

Music is forbidden, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "There will be among my Ummah people who will consider unlawful sexual intercourse, silk, wine, and musical instruments as lawful." Therefore, it is not permissible to lend a device to someone who will use it to listen to music, due to the prohibition of assisting in sin, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." Also, whoever angers people to gain Allah's pleasure, Allah will be pleased with him and will make people pleased with him. It is forbidden to give a gift to someone if it is suspected that it will be used for an act of disobedience. One should strive to guide them and be kind to them, and if they insist on severing ties, then the sin is upon them. It is preferable to continue maintaining kinship ties even if the other party severs them.
