If a man divorces his wife with a revocable divorce, he has the right to take her back during her waiting period ('), which is three menstrual cycles for a menstruating woman. The 'iddah begins from the moment the husband pronounces the divorce, not from the time it is registered in court. The menstrual cycle in which the divorce occurs is not counted as part of the 'iddah.
