Is it permissible to shave the beard to get a job or training, in light of family and financial difficulties?

It is not permissible to commit haraam acts to obtain training or a job, unless there is a legitimate necessity. Sustenance is in the hands of Allah, and adhering to His obedience and avoiding sins are among the greatest means of acquiring sustenance. For sustenance is guaranteed by Allah, and piety is a cause for obtaining and expanding sustenance, including maintaining prayer. Allah does not accept haraam wealth, and what is with Him can only be attained through His obedience. And whoever abandons something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better. For sustenance seeks the servant more intensely than his appointed time.
