If a man dies and leaves behind a wife, four sons, and three daughters, the wife receives one-eighth (1/8); as Allah the Almighty says: (But if you have a child, then for them [the wives] is one eighth of what you leave). The remainder goes to the children, with the male receiving the share of two females; as Allah the Almighty says: (Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females).

The inheritance is divided into 88 portions; the wife takes 11 portions, each son takes 14 portions, and each daughter takes 7 portions.
