How is the inheritance divided among: (11) sons, (4) daughters, and (1) wife?

If the deceased's heirs are limited to the wife and children, the inheritance is divided as follows: the wife receives one-eighth due to the presence of children, as Allah Almighty says: "But if you have children, then for them [i.e., the wives] is one-eighth of what you leave." The remainder goes to the children by way of ta'sib (residuary heirship), with the male receiving the share of two females, as Allah Almighty says: "Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females."

The origin of the estate is from eight, and it is corrected to two hundred and eight shares. The wife then takes twenty-six shares, and one hundred and eighty-two shares remain for the children. The male receives fourteen shares, and the female receives seven shares.
