What is the difference between "الصراط" (with sad) and "السراط" (with sin) in Surat Al-Fatiha?

The meaning of the words "al-Sirat" and "al-Sarat" is one, and its origin is with the letter "seen" (س). Its meaning is "the path," and it was named thus because it swallows those who pass by. Qunbul, from Ibn Kathir, and Ruwais, from Ya'qub, read the word "al-Sarat" with the "seen" (س). The majority of reciters read it with the letter "sad" (ص) to match the "taa'" (ط) in its emphatic pronunciation (itbaq). Ibn Khalawayh mentioned that the reading with the "seen" (س) came according to the origin of the word, while the reading with the "sad" (ص) was due to the substitution of the "seen" (س) to align with the "seen" (س) in its whisper and sibilance, and the "taa'" (ط) in its emphatic pronunciation.
