A Muslim must improve their circumstances unless doing so is unlawful. If the new job is for a branch of a company that produces alcoholic beverages, then it is not permissible to work there or assist in any way, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed ten people regarding alcohol. Furthermore, Allah Almighty described alcohol as an abomination from the work of Satan and commanded to avoid it. Generally, it is not permissible for a Muslim to work in any job related to alcohol, especially if the company's profits from its various branches are collected in one account from which salaries are paid.
