What is the interpretation of Allah's saying, "I almost conceal it [the Hour] so that every soul may be recompensed for what it strives," and does it mean He conceals it from Himself due to its extreme proximity?

The time of the Hour's establishment is known only to Allah. It has been mentioned in the exegesis of Allah's statement: ﴿Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed for what it strives for.﴾ that the meaning of "I almost conceal it" is an exaggeration of the concealment of its appointed time, even from the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the angels. This is to increase caution and warning. Whoever claims to know its time is a liar.
