Is it permissible for friends to allude to intercourse with their wives using indirect phrases, such as: "How lucky you are, tomorrow is Thursday," or "You look tired, seems like last night was quite a night"? And is this act considered forbidden (haram), disliked (makrooh), or permissible (mubah)?

If discussing marital affairs does not go beyond hinting and alluding, it is considered makruh (disliked) due to its being idle talk and a breach of muru'ah (chivalry/propriety). However, this disliked act may become haram (forbidden) if it leads to harming others, or to expanding on the topic in an impermissible way, or if the person becomes addicted to it and persists in it, for what is disliked in part becomes forbidden in whole when persisted in.
